Product Description

The Stewart family is dedicated to fine artisan winemaking, that’s why they have enlisted the talents of world renowned winemaker Paul Hobbs, a man of meticulous craftsmanship. The Stewart’s looked long and hard for the perfect site, to produce the perfect wine, so for their winemaker, Hobbs was the perfect choice. This Pinot Noir is entirely from the Gibson Vineyard; an exciting spot that Hobbs felt had the ideal soil, precise climate and maximum sun exposure.
The growing conditions of 2007 in the Russian River Valley were nearly ideal for producing very ripe, intensely flavored grapes. Rainfall throughout the year was scant and the summer temperatures were moderate. This Pinot Noir clearly shows the quality and character of the stellar vintage.

Stewart Cellars Pinot Noir 2007 Reviews

"Stewart’s 2007 Pinot Noir, which comes from the Gibson Vineyard in Russian River, exhibits a deep ruby/plum color as well as sweet aromas of cola, root vegetables, black cherries, and currants, supple tannins, and a velvety, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel with a hint of forest floor. This complex Pinot is best consumed over the next 3-4 years. This high-class operation boasts Paul Hobbs as its consulting winemaker. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the eastern hills of Oakville, just below the famed Pritchard Hill." - 91, Wine Advocate

Stewart Cellars Pinot Noir 2007 Tasting Notes

The wine is dark purple, immediately forecasting its concentrated dark fruit core. Its aroma is loaded with berry and dark toffee notes, mingling with a subtle touch of very fine French oak. In the mouth the wine is rich and dense, powerful for a Pinot Noir, with a little young tannin that will melt away with years in the bottle. The ripeness of the vintage is evident in the layered notes of plum, cranberry, pomegranate and molasses. The dense, fleshy texture continues through a long, juicy finish.

Le Paradou is a recent project in conjunction with Frederic Chaudiere, whose family produces some of the most respected wines in Cotes du Ventoux AOC. The wines carries the name of the centuries-old farmhouse, "Le Paradou" that belongs to Frederic's family. Sourced from vineyard sites at high altitudes in the mountains of the Luberon; the 100% estate fruit wines see no wood treatment to produce wines with bright fruit and high acidity. The Le Paradou Viognier is exotic and lush, with a beautiful acidity that keeps is fresh and clean. 100% Viognier, this aromatic bottling is aged only in tank with a light filtration. Painstakingly hand harvested to ensure the best quality fruit, this wine is a tremendous value.

WOW: "Sexier than a Pinot Grigio. Naughtier than a Chardonnay!"

WOW: Wine of the Week

"Sexier than a Pinot Grigio.  Naughtier than a Chardonnay!"

Civello White Blend 2009

Civello White Blend has a slogan that is sure to catch your eye!  We just had to know: What could possibly be a sexier, naughtier white blend?!  It is our new FAVORITE white blend for the summer.  Perfectly crisp and dry, this white blend is the answer to  thirst quenching after-pool refreshment.  And for just over $10.00 per bottle, it is a wine for daily consumption.  Bring this conversation piece home today!

Product Description

Sexier than Pinot Grigio, Naughtier than a Chardonnay.  Do you want to try something you have never tasted before?  Civello - on beyond Chardonnay. Change into something different. We strive to make white wines that are refreshing, exciting, irresistible and delicious. When is the last time you heard someone say that about Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc? We start with the Pinot Gris grape, known in Italy as Pinot Grigio, which we get from Monterey. Depending on the year, we add the Spanish grape Verdhelo which we get from the warmer Clarksburg area. We add a splash of the German/Alsatian grape Gewürztraminer which we get from California’s coolest counties. Occasionally we add a little Dijon clone Chardonnay from Carneros. Sometimes we even add a little Muscato Fruliano or Albarino.

Civello White Blend 2009 Tasting Notes

"We began with a traditional Alsatian mix of Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. The two grapes together become a mysterious mix of taste and aromas best described as baked nuts and spice. Feeling the blend was too traditional, Winemaker Ricardo d. wanted to enrich the Pinot Gris with tropical notes and flavors. Chosen were the white peach and tropical flavors found in the Verdelho grape when grown in California.  The taste is crisp, but full. The wine is dry." - Winery Notes

Civello White Blend 2009 Pairings

Blend with different foods especially hot, spicy, Latin or Asian.
