Product Description

David Gordon has been the Wine Director at Tribecca Grill since 1990.  For years he has worked with numerous winemakers to produce wines under private labels intended for consumption in his restaurants only.  As consumer interest grew he decided to produce a greater quantity and make them available to retailers, such ourselves.  85% of the grapes were drawn from Monterey and 15% from Sonoma with equal parts fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak. Aging continued for another 8 months in large neutral oak barrels.

The inspiration behind Tait Wines was Giovanni Tait (1927-1997). Giovanni Tait migrated to Australia from Italy in 1957 to take up work as a cooper in the Barossa. Flora Springs Napa Valley Chardonnay 2009

Product Description

"Balance, balance, balance - in life, in wine, after a bottle of wine - it's an elusive ambition. However, after thirty years of crafting world renowned wines, the Flora Springs name has become synonymous with perfectly balanced Napa Valley Chardonnay. The Legacy began when our inaugural vintage in 1978 was awarded a gold medal at the Orange Country Fair. A few years later our status of gold was bronzed when James Laube selected Flora Springs as one of his "First Growth" producers of Chardonnay in his book California's Great Chardonnays." - Winery Notes

Flora Springs Chardonnay 2009 Tasting Notes

"Our Napa Valley Chardonnay combines the enticing characteristics of three highly renowned growing regions in the Napa Valley: Oakville, Carneros, and St. Helena. This blend of fruit from the warmer appellations on the valley floor as well as the cool rolling hills of Carneros allows us to craft a Chardonnay with great intensity and restraint. This bottling celebrates the natural tropical fruit flavors in the fruit sourced from our sustainably farmed vineyards and allows the bright acidity to shine!" - Winery Notes

Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio 2011

Product Description

"Founded in 1848, the Tiefenbrunner Castel Turmhof Winery owes its name to the ancient castle that hosts the Tiefenbrunner family. The winery is located in Entiklar, a hamlet belonging to the town of Kurtatsch in the South Tyrolean province of Bozen, embedded in the Italian Alps.
The vines are grown mostly on the mountain slopes around the Turmhof Castle, but some are also located in the flatter areas of the valley. The southward-facing slopes and their loamy, chalk rich soils represent the best environment for producing high quality wines. The Mediterranean climate, characterized by a moderate rainfall, and the cooling evening winds, allow for a substantial difference between day and night temperatures, providing the ideal conditions for perfect grape ripening." - Winery Notes

Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio 2011 Tasting Notes

"This wine is pale yellow in color with green reflections. It has the pleasant aroma that characterizes the variety, with exotic fruit notes and a trace of meadow flowers. Slightly spicy, well-structured and full in the mouth, it has a lingering finish on the palate." - Winery Notes
