Product Description

"The word 'Provenance' (rhymes with renaissance) is derived from the French language, and means 'origin,' or 'source.'  A provenance is the record of ownership of a piece of art from its creation to the present. Connoisseurs use a provenance as a guarantee of a work's authenticity. Our name reflects our goal of producing fine wines that are authentic works of art." - Winery Notes

Provenance Vineyards Rutherford Cabernet 2008 Reviews

"Floral, leather, fresh earth and dried currant scents are firm and chewy in this full-bodied and structured red, with gripping tannins that end with a gravelly, pebbly aftertaste. Drink now through 2019. 9,000 cases made." - 89, Wine Spectator

Provenance Vineyards Rutherford Cabernet 2008 Tasting Notes

"The expansive aromas and flavors of the 2008 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon are filled with brambly blackberry, dark plum, black cherry and cassis character. Hints of clove, black pepper and mocha add warmth to the aromas, while toffee and hazelnut notes from oak aging linger on the dark-fruit palate. Cocoa powder tannins, a signature of Rutherford terroir, firmly frame the generous, mouthfilling flavors." - Winery Notes
Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot
